Description
Nostril narrowing is an additional component to Rhinoplasty in a limited number of cases. This procedure’s aim is to reduce the width of the nose’s lowest segment. To bring the outer walls of the alae or wings “closer in”. It is performed by removing the central portion of the floor or sill of the nostril openings. It does not diminish breathing and does not influence any external feature. The incision is made in the crease between the nose opening and upper lip and well as the internal floor of the nose. Generally, because of these hidden locations, healing is excellent and the scar well-concealed. It can be done as an independent procedure or an adjunct to a Rhinoplasty.
